This Acceptable Use Policy governs what you may do with SetSmart. It applies to every assistant you create, every message your assistant sends, and every offer you promote through the platform. It supplements our Terms of Service; where the two conflict, the stricter rule applies.
SetSmart is built on large language models provided by third parties, and your use of SetSmart is therefore also subject to those providers' usage policies. The prohibitions below mirror the categories those policies define. We are accountable to our providers for everything sent through our platform, which is why these rules are enforced rather than advisory.
You may not use SetSmart to manipulate or deceive the people it messages, or to exploit their vulnerabilities. In particular, you may not use it for:
You may not use SetSmart to provide tailored advice that requires a license, such as legal or medical advice, without the appropriate involvement of a licensed professional. If your offer sits in a regulated field, your assistant may qualify interest and book a call, but it may not give the regulated advice itself.
You may not use SetSmart to promote or facilitate real money gambling, including sports betting and casino offers.
You may not use your assistant to automate high-stakes decisions without human review. This covers decisions in areas including financial activities and credit, insurance, housing, employment, education, legal, medical, and essential government services. Qualifying a lead and booking a call is fine; deciding someone's eligibility, acceptance or refusal is not.
Our services must never be used to exploit or endanger anyone under 18. Because assistants message people on social platforms where minors are present, you must not use SetSmart for:
If your offer is directed at adults, configure your assistant to end the conversation when it becomes apparent it is talking to a minor.
You may not use someone's likeness, including their photorealistic image or voice, without their consent in ways that could confuse authenticity. If you use a cloned voice in your assistant, it must be a voice you are entitled to use. You may not use SetSmart to profile individuals, to infer sensitive attributes about them, or to aggregate or distribute their private information without authorization.
You may not use SetSmart for threats, intimidation, harassment or defamation, for content promoting or facilitating suicide, self-harm or disordered eating, for sexual or violent content, for illicit activities, goods or services, or to circumvent the safeguards of the platform or of our AI providers.
You write your assistant's instructions and you choose the offer it promotes. You are responsible for what it says on your behalf, including output you did not specifically anticipate. Review your assistant's conversations regularly. If it produces something that breaches this policy, correct the instructions promptly.
We attach a per-account safety identifier to the model requests we make on your behalf, so that our AI providers can trace activity to a single account rather than to the platform as a whole. Where a provider determines that an account has violated their policies, they may block that account from generating, and they may report it to us.
Where we find a breach, we may require you to change your assistant, suspend the assistant, suspend your account, or terminate it, depending on severity and on whether it has happened before. Serious breaches, in particular fraud and offers targeting minors, may result in immediate termination without a warning and without a refund. Note that a provider-level block of an account cannot generally be reversed by us or by them.
If you received a message from an assistant built on SetSmart that appears to breach this policy, or you believe an account is being misused, contact us through the chat widget on setsmart.io. Reports are reviewed by a person.
We may update this policy as our providers' requirements change or as new abuse patterns appear. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use SetSmart after a change means you accept the updated policy.
